Forget It
Who’s your most unforgettable person?
Early on I interviewed Prof. Irwin Corey (the faux teacher who never met a word he could not mangle), the indefinable Tiny Tim and Walla Walla’s tongue-in-cheek Batman, Adam West.
That was decades ago, and, truthfully, I can’t pull up a single quote from them. But if we could corner God’s European ambassador over an espresso, chances are, everything he uttered would be velcro’d to our memories forever. Why’s that?
(•) Because Jesus wrote those words specifically for you and me.
(•) And because they are THE WORDS OF LIFE, delivered with the passion and conviction of a true martyr.
With the Roman Empire spewing hatred against the Christian faith, Paul’s timely reminder arrives: “(God) will continue to give you strength until the end so that no one can accuse you of anything on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God faithfully keeps His promises. He called you to be partners with His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:8-9
