The 39 books of the Old Testament are recognized by Judaism. Combined with the 27 books of the New Testament, the entire Bible is accepted and used by Christians. Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Islam and other religions have their sacred writings. However, the Bible is unique for at least four reasons:
